athletes of all ages and sports access to unparalleled cutting-edge facilities,
medical
expertise and a full range of comprehensive and integrated support services.
It will be designed as the premier injury treatment, rehabilitation and
sport training facility in Canada.

Located at the north-west corner of Sprott Street and Kensington Avenue in Burnaby, British Columbia, the proposed MultiSport Centre of Excellence will occupy five acres and will consist of six components
totaling 142,000 square feet.
Sport Medical and Rehabilitation Centre
Housing a collaborative team of world-class sport medicine and rehabilitation specialists, the Centre will be the place to go for preventing, diagnosing and treating sports related injuries and illnesses. Leading edge diagnostic technologies and rehabilitation equipment will be available on site.
Strength and Conditioning Centre
The state-of-the-art strength and conditioning centre will house a wide range of cardio, machine and free weight training equipment and apparatus. Strength and conditioning specialists will work with athletes at all levels to assist them in identifying and achieving specific training, performance and/or personal goals.
Gymnasium and laboratories
The Gymnasium will be purpose-built and house unique, sport specific training areas as well as provide a venue for court-based sports training and competition. Multi-purpose training areas will ensure the athletes have access to the facilities and equipment necessary to improve their skills, strength, endurance and agility. Adjacent sport laboratories and assessment areas will allow coaches, trainers and athletes to take advantage of the latest technology and services to assist performance through technical, physical and psychological analysis and feedback.
Athlete's Village
With sports teams alike frequently visiting Greater Vancouver for competitions and training camps, a 120-room Athlete’s Village will provide accommodation that is centrally located to Burnaby’s Central Valley sports facilities and directly adjacent to the Centre’s training facilities and medical, rehabilitation and performance enhancement services. The athlete’s village will offer access to meeting rooms equipped with video playback facilities and an adjacent cafeteria where the availability of nutritionally controlled and balanced menus will be overseen by the Centre’s sport dietician.
Commercial/Retail Space
Numerous retail and service industry businesses support the work of sports medicine, rehabilitation and strength and conditioning practitioners. The MultiSport Centre of Excellence will provide space for sports medicine, sportswear and sports equipment retailers, a coffee shop and a restaurant.
Artificial Turf Fields
The Multisport Center of Excellence will have access to one of the two new state of the art artificial turf fileds adjacent to the Centre. Year round access to the artificial surface playing field will augment the services offered by the Multisport Centre. Visiting teams in training camps will be able to schedule on-field practices. As well, the field will be utilized as an extension of the strength and conditioning facilities located within the Centre.
